The Amazing Olympic Values! By Olivia L and Rosemary

Today we learned that our new Inquiry was about Challenges or Whakatara. We discussed what the word challenge means and decided that for most of us it means to overcome something that is hard or difficult.

We then discussed the Olympics and the types of challenges that the athletes would face. Using the Olympic Values we created four pictures showing challenges where the athletes would have to show a particular value.

The first picture below is Max's drawing of 4 Olympic Values, one of them shows pursuit of excellence that means keep on going and do your best when you are competing.

Harriet's value pictures showed fair play which means not cheating and making sure that you are being fair while competing against others. All of our pictures represent an example of the Olympic Values. Can you see what values the athletes have to show in the poster below?
